Issued decisions  

– Giza Criminal Court adjourned the retrial procedures of one defendant over a protest charge into the case known in the media as “Talat Harb incidents” for the hearing of May 6, 2020 due to the inability to bring him from his jail to the courthouse.

– Giza (Terrorism) and Cairo Criminal Courts (Circuit 1 &2) postponed the consideration of a number of defendants over various cases at the State Security Prosecution for a hearing to be set later due to the inability to transfer the defendants. The court also ordered the continuation of the precautionary measures issued against some defendants for 45 days.

– The Court of Administrative Justice adjourned the lawsuit filed by Malak El-Kashef’s lawyer demanding to oblige the Interior Ministry to establish detention centers for transgender people. The lawsuit was postponed for the hearing of April 18.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the trial of Youssef Botrous Ghali, former Minister of Finance, in the case publicly known as “customs corruption”. The case was administratively postponed for the hearing of 3 May 2020.

Decisions not issued until 3 pm 

– Cairo Criminal Court is considering the retrial procedures of 18 defendants in the case publicly known as “Al-Maasra Cell”, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
