On 9 May 2020, the Supreme State Security Prosecution interrogated the journalist over a new case; No. 1898 of 2019 State Security and charged him with promoting the views and goals of a terrorist group. It ruled to hold him in detention for 15 days.

Mohsen Youssef al-Sayed Radi

On 3 December 2019, the State Security Prosecution ordered his release for exceeding the pretrial detention period prescribed by law. He has been transferred to October Police Station, but he hasn’t actually been released until now. Update: In early December 2019, the State Security Prosecution ordered the release of the journalist under the guarantee of his place of residence; for exceeding the pretrial detention period prescribed by law. However, he had been kept under enforced disappearance until 25 February, when he appeared at the State Security Prosecution as a defendant and was interrogated over the Case No. 1360 of 2019 State Security on charges of abetting a terrorist group. He was then ordered to be held in detention for 15 days.

Mahmoud Hussein Gomaa

The media professional was arrested on 20 December 2016 from inside Cairo International Airport upon his return from Doha. He was referred to the State Security Prosecution which ruled to hold him in pretrial detention pending case No. 1152 of 2016 State Security, on charges of publishing false news and statements about Egypt's internal situation and fabricating media reports and false news.   Note: On May 21, 2019, Cairo Criminal Court decided to release the journalist by precautionary measures. On May 26, 2019, journalist Mahmoud Hussein was deported from Tora Investigation Prison to Giza in order to implement his release decision. On the same day, he was deported to the Abu al-Nomros police station. He was informed that the measure was being carried out inside the station. He was detained in the station pending the signal from the state security approving his release. However, on May 27, 2019. He was taken to the State Security Prosecution and interrogated in the absence of his lawyer in case No. 1365 of 2018 State Security, which ordered his detention for 15 days and he was deported back to Tora Investigation Prison again.

Shady Hussein Abo Zeid

He is being held in pretrial detention pending case No. 621 of 2018 State Security, over which he was interrogated and charged with joining a terrorist group and spreading false news and statements, after the security forces broke into his house and arrested him on 6 May 2018. Update: On 4 February 2020, Cairo Criminal Court ordered the release of Shady with precautionary measures pending the aforementioned case. However, on 11 February 2020, Shady was recycled to a new case, No. 1956 of 2019 State Security, on charges of abetting a terrorist group. Accordingly, he was ordered to be held in pretrial detention for 15 days.

Hossam Al-Din Mostafa Ahmed Mostafa, aka Hossam Mostafa

He is accused of joining a group that is established contrary to the provisions of the law and spreading/broadcasting false news and statements.

Yousri Mostafa

He was arrested on 16 April 2019 from Cairo Airport while he was traveling to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah; after he finished all travel procedures, obtained an exit visa and prepared to board the plane. - On 3 July 2019, journalist Yousri Mostafa appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution, where he was interrogated into case No. 441 of 2018 on a charge of joining a terrorist group. The journalist is being held in pretrial detention pending the case.

Hisham Fouad Mohamed Abdel-Halim

The Interior Ministry issued a statement saying that the journalist's arrest was tied to "his collaboration with the Muslim Brotherhood's leaders fleeing abroad to carry out a plot- indentified as "The Plan for Hope"- to bring down the state and its institutions, coinciding with the June 30 anniversary's celebrations. Hisham appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution for investigation into case No. 930 of 2019 State Security on charges of colluding with a terrorist group to achieve its objectives and spreading false news and statements. The Prosecution decided to hold him in pretrial detention pending the aforementioned case.

Israa has been held on remand until now.

Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed Radwan, aka Mohamed Oxygen

He was arrested on 21 September 2019, while carrying out his precautionary measures at Al-Basateen Police Station pending case No. 621 of 2019, and was then taken to an unknown destination. On 8 October 2019, the blogger appeared inside the State Security Prosecution headquarters where he was interrogated over case No. 1356 of 2019 State Security, on charges of: colluding with a terrorist group to achieve its goals, spreading false news and statements and misusing social media. "Oxygen" has been held on remand until now.

Hassan al-Qabani

He was arrested after serving his probation at the 6th of October Police Station, as he received a phone call from a National Security officer asking him to come to him, and thereafter, he was taken to the National Security Agency headquarters.On 26 November 2019, he appeared before the State Security Prosecution which interrogated him over case No. 1480 of 2019, on charge of: abetting a terrorist group with the knowledge of its goals, misusing social media, committing one of funding-related crimes, and spreading false news and statements. He has been held on remand pending the case.

The Prosecution ruled to hold her in detention pending probe.
