Issued decisions

– Cairo Criminal Court ordered, yesterday evening, the release of journalist Hisham Jaafar on probation over case No. 720 of 2015 State Security.

– Cairo Criminal Court decided to extend the sentencing hearing against 5 defendants in the case known in the media as “The Green Belt” for the June 26 hearing for re-pleading.

– The State Security Prosecution decided to adjourn considering the detention renewal of Dr. Gamal Abdel-Fattah and students Khaled Mahmoud and Khaled Bassiouni into case No. 1739 of 2018 State Security for tomorrow’s session; for failing to transfer the defendants from their prison.

– The State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of Rasha Abdel-Rahman for 15 days pending investigations into Case No. 488 of 2019 State Security.

– Cairo Court of Urgent Matters upheld the Interior Minister’s decision to reject the request submitted by the Popular Alliance Party to stage a protest in front of the House of Representatives.

– The military criminal court adjourned the trial of 271 defendants in the case known as “Hasm Movement II” for the April 3 hearing.

– Minya Criminal Court decided to accept the request submitted by 20 lawyers demanding to disqualify the court’s judges presiding over the “insulting the judiciary” case. The court also decided to refer the case to Beni Suef Court of Appeal in order to determine another criminal circuit to consider it.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the retrial of deposed President Mohamed Morsi and 28 others in the case known as “breaching the eastern border” for the April 7 hearing, to continue checking exhibits.

Decisions not issued until 5 pm:

– Giza Criminal Court is presiding over the trial of 11 defendants in the case known as “The great wheat corruption”, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
