–  The State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of Walid Shawky and Ayman Abdel-Moati for 15 days pending investigations into Case No. 621 of 2018 State Security.

–  The State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of Moaz al-Sharkawy for 15 days pending investigations into Case No. 440 of 2018 State Security.

– Cairo Criminal Court sentenced two defendants to life imprisonment, three others to 15 years in high-security prison, one defendant to 5 years in prison, and 8 others to 3 years in prison into the case known as “the returnees from Libya”.

– Cairo Criminal Court set the April 20 hearing to pronounce the verdict in the retrial of defendant Imam Fouad, April 6  Movement member, over the life imprisonment sentence handed down to him in absentia after being convicted of assembly and protest charges.

– The Court of Cassation set the appeal submitted by defendants in the case publicly known as “Terrorist Hasm Vanguard” challenging the decision to place them in the terrorist entities list for adjudication at the March 26 hearing.

– The Court of Cassation ordered the retrial of 22 defendants in the case publicly known as “Montazah incidents in Alexandria”.

– The Military Court decided to mitigate the death penalty issued against two defendants to life imprisonment after accepting the appeal they submitted in the case publicly known as “The Advanced Operations Cell”.

– Cairo Appeal Prosecution ordered, yesterday evening, the release of Mohammed Abdel-Karim Zahran on bail of 15,000EGP against the backdrop of the libel and defamation charges pressed against him for verbally insulting the Minister of Education and his deputy via the social networking site “Facebook.”

– Minya Criminal Court sentenced 12 defendants to 5 years in high-security prison for forming the first cell communicating with the terrorist group “ISIS” at Sharkyia governorate.

Decisions not issued until 5pm:

– Giza Criminal Court is considering the retrial procedures of a defendant in the case publicly known as “Rabaa Operations Room”, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
