– Cairo Criminal Court’s 5th circuit (Terrorism) renewed the detention of human rights lawyer Mohamed al-Baqer, activist and blogger Alaa Abdel-Fattah and activist Mohamed Oxygen for 45 days pending investigations into Case No. 1356 of 2019 State Security.
Decisions not issued
– Cairo Criminal Court is considering the detention renewal of engineer Yehia Hussein Abdel-Hady pending Case No. 277 of 2019 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
– Cairo Criminal Court is considering the detention renewal of journalist Badr Badr Mohamed pending Case No. 1360 of 2019 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
– Cairo Criminal Court is considering the precautionary measures issued against human rights lawyer Mohsen Bahnasi pending Case No. 558 of 2020 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
– The 1s Terrorism Circuit at the criminal court continued today Wednesday to preside over the retrial of 12 defendants in the case of violence and riots incidents took place in the vicinity of the buildings of: the cabinet, the parliament, the Shura Council and the Egyptian Scientific Complex, which is known in the media as “The cabinet incidents”.
– Giza Criminal Court is presiding over the trial of 11 defendants in the case of “Great Wheat Corruption” on charges of seizing 104 million pounds, facilitating the seizure of more than 530 million pounds of state funds for the benefit of several individuals.
