Issued decisions

– The Supreme State Security Prosecution has ruled to hold human rights lawyer Mahinour El-Masry and journalist Solafa Magdy in pretrial detention for 15 days after interrogating them into Case No. 855 of 2020 State Security, which will be calculated after the end of their detention pending Case No. 488 of 2019.

– The Supreme State Security Prosecution has interrogated human rights lawyer Mohamed El-Baqer and journalist Israa Abdel-Fattah into a new case; No. 855 of 2020 State Security, and ruled to hold them in pretrial detention for 15 days which will be calculated after the end of their detention pending Cases No. 1356 of 2019 and No. 488 of 2019 State Security.

-The Circuit 24 at New Cairo Criminal Court has rejected the appeal challenging the detention order issued against defendant Islam Nasser and accordingly renewed his detention for 45 days pending Case No. 2056 of 2020 El-Khalifa Misdemeanor.

– The 5th Terrorism Criminal Circuit has set the retrial procedures of the defendants convicted of using violence and blocking the public road into the case Known in the media as “Al-Muski police station violence incidents” for adjudication at the hearing of October 26, 2020.

Decisions not issued until 5 pm 

– Cairo Criminal Court is considering the trial of 11 defendants in the case known in the media as “Spying for Isis”, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.

– Cairo Criminal Court is considering the detention renewal of engineer Yehia Hussein Abdel-Hady pending Case No. 277 of 2019 State Security , but hasn’t reached a decision so far.

– The court is also considering the detention renewal of driver Yasser Antar Abdel-Latif pending case No. 535 of 2020 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
