• Al-Mansoura Criminal Court’s 9th circuit decided to renew the detention of activist Mohamed Adel for 45 days, in violation of the Article 143 of the Criminal Procedure Code which sets the maximum limit for remand detention at two years.
• The Public Prosecutor ordered an appeal against an acquittal ruling issued for a defendant accused of sexually assaulting a young autistic child, to investigate his mother’s complaint about the abuse committed by the defendant’s relatives.
