Issued decisions
– Cairo Criminal Court sentenced one defendant to 10 years in prison while acquitted three other defendants in the case of “killing protesters in Giza during the January Revolution’s incidents that took place in 2011”.
– The Court of Cassation accepted the appeal submitted by 272 defendants in the case publicly known as “Hasm and Lewaa el-Thawra” and rescinded the decision to place them in the terrorists lists.
– The Military Criminal Court adjourned the trial of 271 defendants in “Hasm and Lewaa el-Thawra” case for the March 13 hearing for checking the case’s documents.
– Giza Criminal Court adjourned the trial of 11 defendants in the case publicly known as “The great wheat corruption” for the March 27 hearing, to check exhibits.
– Sharqiyah Criminal Court sentenced 3 defendants to 5 years in high-security prison over vandalizing a police officer’s car and the arson of a polling station during the last presidential elections.
– Sharqiyah Criminal Court sentenced one defendant to 7 years in high-security prison and other defendant to 5 years in high-security prison over possession of explosives and bombs.
