– Cairo Criminal Court ordered the release of Mona Abdel-Gawwad “Om Zubeida”- Zubeida’s mother- with precautionary measures in case No. 477 of 2018 State Security.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned considering the detention renewal of Masoum Marzouk, Raed Salama, Sameh Seoudi, Abdel-Fattah al-Banna, and Yehia al-Qazaz pending case No. 1305 of 2018 State Security for the January 19 hearing, and renewed the detention of Nermin Hussein for 45 days pending the same case.

– Cairo Criminal Court ordered the continuation of precautionary measures against Wael Abbass and Moemen Hassan for 45 days into case No. 441 of 2018 State Security.

– Al-Moqattam Appellant Misdemeanor Court decided to accept, in form, the appeal submitted by Lawyers Syndicate President Sameh Ashour challenging the 2-year prison sentence handed down to him in the case of refraining to enroll the Open Education System’s graduates in the Syndicate, and in substance, to reject the lawsuit as it was filed by a way that is not prescribed by the law.

– The Court of Cassation adjourned the appeal submitted by 49 defendants challenging the death sentences, life imprisonment and high-security prison sentences they received in the case publicly known as “Tanzeem Agnad Masr”, for the February 19 hearing.

– Giza Criminal Court adjourned the retrial procedures of 46 defendants in the case known as “Al-Fath Mosque incidents” for the February 6 hearing.

– Cairo Court of Urgent Matters set the January 30 hearing to pronounce the verdict in the lawsuit demanding the dissolution of the Pharmacists Syndicate Council and to impose guardianship on it.

– Al-Agouza Appellant Misdemeanor Court changed the sentence issued against Ahmed Hamdy Soliman in the case of Tiran and Sanafir protests in Agouza from 5-year prison sentence and 100,000 EGP fine to only a fine of 50,000 EGP.

– Cairo Criminal Court sentenced 3 defendants to one year in prison with the suspension of the penalty’s implementation in the retrial procedures of the case known as “Helwan Students Cell”.
