– The Supreme State Security Prosecution has ordered the release of 172 defendants in the cases No. 1413 and 1338 of 2019, known in the media as “September 20 Protests”.

– The First Terrorism Circuit has set the sentencing hearing in the retrial procedures of two defendants accused in “Al-Maasra Cell” case over the rulings issued in absentia against them at April 5, 2020.

– The Criminal Court has adjourned the retrial procedures of 66 defendants in “the dispersal of Rabaa El-Adawyia Sit-in” case for Monday, February 17.

– The Court of Administrative Justice’s second circuit has rejected 9 lawsuits demanding to halt the implementation of the decision to open the candidacy for membership of the Bar Association’s board, which consequently could lead to suspension of the elections scheduled on March 15, 2020.

– North Cairo Criminal Court has rescinded the ruling issued against Abdel-Rahman Mohamed al-Gendi into the case known in the media as “Al-Azbakyia incidents” and accordingly referred the case back to the Public Prosecution, as the child law would be applicable to the defendant.

– The Supreme Administrative Court’s first circuit issued a final ruling rejecting the appeal lodged by the Ministry of Interior and upholding the ruling issued by the Court of Administrative Justice to oblige the ministry to renew the Egyptian passport of human rights activist Rami Shaath.
