– The Court of Cassation has accepted the appeal challenging the rulings issued against Belal Khalil Fathy and others in the case known in the media as “The Oppressed of Downtown” ordering the release of all defendants. The court set the hearing of 3 February 2020 to consider the case.

– Journalists Khaled Daoud, Solafa Magdy, and Esraa Abdel-Fattah and worker Mohamed Samir couldn’t be transferred to the State Security Prosecution’s headquarters to consider their detention pending Case No. 488 of 2019 State Security. Hence, the consideration of their detention has been adjourned to tomorrow.

– Blogger Islam Zakryia El-Refaai, aka “Khorm”, and activist Abdel-Rahman Tarek  couldn’t be transferred to the State Security Prosecution’s headquarters to consider their detention pending Case No. 1331 of 2019 State Security. Hence, the consideration of their detention has been adjourned to tomorrow.

– Cairo Criminal Court has adjourned the trial of 215 defendants in the case known in the media as “Helwan Brigades” for February 5 hearing, due to the inability to transfer the defendants.
