Issued decisions 

– Cairo Criminal Court renewed, yesterday evening, the detention of human rights lawyer Zyiad El-Elemei and journalists Hisham Fouad and Hossam Moanis for 45 days pending Case No. 930 of 2019 State Security.

– Cairo Criminal Court renewed, yesterday evening, the detention of journalist Adel Sabry for 45 days pending Case No. 441 of 2018 State Security.

– Dokki Terrorism Court accepted, yesterday, the appeal submitted by Mohamed Badawi and accordingly revoked the 5-year prison sentence issued against him and fined him EGP 50,000 pending the case known in the media as “Tiran and Sanafir Protests”.

– Journalist Mohamed al-Garhi has been released from Dokki Prosecution’s headquarters after hearing his testimony in the libel case filed against him by MP Ghada al-Ajmy.

– The Disciplinary Board of Helwan Univesity’s Faculty Members has decided to postpone the trial session of Dr. Yehia al-Qazaz for the first of March hearing, against the backdrop of the charges of insulting the president via social media, pressed against the university professor.

– Cairo Criminal Court has adjourned the retrial procedures of 6 defendants in the case known in the media as “Cabinet incidents” for February 3 hearing.

– Cairo Criminal Court has set the trial of 7 defendants in the case known in the media as “Giza Terrorist Cell” for adjudication at March 25 hearing.
