Issued decisions: 

– Cairo Criminal Court sentenced one defendant to three years in prison and put him under police surveillance for a similar period in his retrial procedures in the case known in the media as “Raiding Nasr City Police Station”.

– The State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of journalist Khaled Daoud, journalist Esraa Abdel-Fattah, researcher Ibrahim Ezz El-Din, journalist Solafa Magdy, and worker Mohamed Samir for 15 days pending investigations into Case No. 488 of 2019 State Security.

– The State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of blogger Islam Zakaryia “Khorm” and activist Abdel-Rahman Tarek “Mokka” for 15 days pending investigations into Case No. 1331 of 2019 State Security.

-The State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of Sarah Abdel-Aziz for 15 days pending investigations into Case No. 1269 of 2019 State Security.

– Giza Criminal Court adjourned, yesterday evening, the consideration of the retrial procedures of one defendant in the case known in the media as “Talaat Harb incidents” for the First of February, to hear the witnesses.

– South Cairo Criminal Court has adjourned the defense’s request to seize the funds of Dr. Hassan Nafaa for March 22 hearing. The request is based on an authorization from the court to appeal against the constitutionality of Article 47 of the Terrorism Act 94 of 2015 before the Supreme Constitutional Court.

-Giza Criminal Court has adjourned the retrial procedures of 73 defendants in the case known in the media as “Rabaa Sit-in dispersal” for the 2nd of February hearing, to hear the Public Prosecution’s pleadings.

-The Court of Administrative Justice turned down the lawsuit filed by Aisha Khairat al-Shater and ordered the continuation of the decision to seize her funds. The court also ruled to extend the sentencing hearing in Sarah Khairat al-Shater’s lawsuit for January 18 hearing.

– The Supreme State Security Prosecution is considering the detention renewal sessions of: photojournalist Hossam al-Sayyad, Mohamed Salah, blogger Radwa Mohamed, and photojournalist Islam Mossadaq pending Case No. 488 of 2019 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.

– The Supreme State Security Prosecution is considering the detention renewal session of activist Hassan Mostafa and Hussein Khamis “Hussein al-Sabbak” pending Case No. 1898 of 2019 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.

– The Supreme State Security Prosecution is considering the detention renewal session of human rights lawyer Mohamed al-Baqir and activist Alaa Abdel-Fattah pending Case No. 1356 of 2019 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
