Issued decisions 

– The Court of Administrative Justice adjourned, yesterday evening, the lawsuit filed by Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies (CIHRS) demanding to publish the law rescinding the Protest Law in the Official Gazette and to revoke the Protest Law, for the October 12 hearing.

– Cairo Criminal Court sentenced lawyer Ali Taha to two years in prison on charge of insulting and slandering Counselor Ahmed El-Zend and two other counselors at the Judges Club.

– Cairo Criminal Court decided to extend the sentencing hearing against 26 defendants in the case known in the media as “The attack on the Three Pyramids Hotel” for the September 21 hearing; due to the absence of the defendants.

– Cairo Criminal Court decided to extend the sentencing hearing of defendant Imam Fouad, April 6 Movement member, over his life imprisonment sentence handed down in absentia on charges of gathering and protesting, for the September 7 hearing.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the retrial of 5 defendants in the case known in the media as “Al-Warraq terrorist cell” for the August 25 hearing; due to the absence of the defendants.

– The Court of Administrative Justice rejected the lawsuit demanding to strip Al-Shaimaa Mohamed Morsi Al-Ayyat of her Egyptian nationality since she obtained the American citizenship without the permission of the Egyptian authorities; due to the lack of “interest” as a requirement in the case.
