Issued decisions:- 

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the consideration of the detention of Essam Abdel-Raouf pending case No. 585 of 2018 State Security for a later hearing due to the defendant’s absence.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the consideration of the detention of Ayman Mohamed Ebied pending case No. 1739 of 2018 State Security for a later hearing due to the defendant’s absence.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned trial of 7 defendants in the case known in the media as “Giza’s Isis Cell” for the August 18 hearing, due to the defendants’ absence.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned trial of 47 defendants in the case known in the media as “Storming Al-Tebbein Police Station” for the August 24 hearing, due to the defendants’ absence.

– The Military Court adjourned the trial of 304 defendants in the case known in the media as “The assassination attempt of the Assistant Public Prosecutor” for the August 5 hearing, for pleading.

– Cairo Criminal Court accepted the appeal submitted by the Prosecution against the release order on probation issued for photojournalist Shorouk Amgad pending case No. 441 of 2018 State Security. The court, accordingly, rescinded the decision and renewed her detention for 45 days.

Decisions not issued until 5 pm

– The Court of Administrative Justice is considering the lawsuit filed by Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies (CIHRS) demanding to publish the law rescinding the Protest Law in the official gazette, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
