\n– The Court of Cassation adjourned the appeal filed by 66 defendants challenging the rulings- ranging from life imprisonment and 3-year prison sentence- which they received in the case known in the media as “Sohag violence incidents” that date back to 2015. The consideration of the appeal was postponed for the hearing of 22 January 2020 for the presence of the National Security officer.
\n– The Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to hold Dr. Hazem Hosni in pretrial detention for 15 days pending Case No. 855 of 2020 State Security, after the criminal court issued a decision regarding his detention at the hearing of 31 October 2020.
