Issued decisions
– Port Said Criminal Court, convened the Police Cadets Institute, adjourned the trial of 15 defendants involved in the violence incidents that took place in August 2013, which are known in the media as “AL Arab Police Station violence incidents”, for the hearing of 14 October 2021 for the defense’s pleadings.

– The Supreme Constitutional Court decided to refer the lawsuit claiming the unconstitutionality of the second paragraph of Article 20 of the Personal Status Law, to the court’s Commissioners Authority to complete the preparation of the case. The article stipulated that “each of the parents has the right to see their young children, and the grandparents have the same when the parents are not present. In case it is not possible to organize the seeing as organized, the judge may organize it in a place that doesn’t present any psychological harm to the young”, similar to the decision of the Minister of Justice No. 1087 of 2000 regulating the right of children seeing.
– Masr Qadeima Misdemeanor State Security Court adjourned the trial of former MP Zyiad El Eliemy and journalist Hisham Fouad and Hossam Moanis for the hearing of 29 September until deciding on the request of disqualifying the court’s Judge.
– Tora Prison Complex authorities summoned human rights lawyer Zyiad El Eliemy and journalist Hisham Fouad who expedited the consideration of their lawsuit. Accordingly, it has been decided to set the hearing of 28 September to consider the case after it was set for the 26 October session.
