  • The East Cairo Military Court adjourned the retrial of 170 defendants in the case known in the media as “Taking picture of Belbeis Air Base” for the hearing of 25 January 2021.
  • Cairo Criminal Court’s 1st Terrorism circuit adjourned the trial of 11 defendants in the case known in the media as “Spying for ISIS” for the hearing of 8 February, 2021.

 

Decisions not issued

  • Cairo Criminal Court’s 3rd circuit has considered the detention renewal of journalist Solafa Magdi, human rights lawyer Mahinour El-Masry, activist Esraa Abdel-Fattah, blogger Radwa Mohamed and others, and adjourned the session for a hearing to be set later for the defendants who couldn’t be brought from their jail to the courthouse pending Case No. 488 of 2019, whereas it hasn’t reached a decision for the other defendants.

 

  • Cairo Criminal Court’s 3rd circuit has considered the detention renewal of engineer Reman al-Hussani pending Case No. 730 of 2020, but it hasn’t reached a decision so far.

 

  • Cairo Criminal Court’s 3rd circuit has considered the detention renewal of journalist Badr Mohamed pending Case No. 1360 of 2019, but it hasn’t reached a decision so far.

 

  • Cairo Criminal Court’s 3rd circuit has adjourned the detention renewal of Yehia Hussein Abdel-Hady and others accused in Case No. 277 of 2019, aka “Oh God Revolution”, for a hearing to be set later due to the inability to transfer the defendant from his jail to the courthouse.
