– The 5th Circuit at Cairo Criminal Court replaced, yesterday evening, the pretrial detention of labor activist Ahmed Tamam and others with precautionary measures, while it renewed the detention of lawyer Zyiad El-Eleimy and journalists Hisham Fouad and Hossam Moanis for 45 days pending the Case No. 930 of 2019 State Security, known in the media as ‘Hope Coalition’.
– The 5th Circuit at Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the trial of 9 defendants in the case known in the media as ‘Isis- 1st Settlement’ for the hearing of October 14 to hear the defendants’ statements.
Decisions not issued until now
– The 5th Circuit at Cairo Criminal Court has considered the detention renewal of student Mahmoud Mohamed Abdel-Fattah pending the Case No. 1475 of 2019 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
– South Cairo Criminal Court is considering the trial of activist Sana Seif on charges of spreading false news, offending public official, and insulting and attacking public employee while carrying out his duty pending the Case No. 12499 of 2020 1st Settlement Misdemeanor, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
