– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned, yesterday, the trial of 3 defendants in the case known in the media as “The one billion dollar corruption”, for the hearing of October 5, 2020 to enable the defense team to carry out the procedures of disqualifying the judges of the court presiding over the case.
– Cairo Court of Appeal has set September 23 to be the first trial hearing of a prosecutor at the Administrative Prosecution Authority after she has been pensioned off in the case publicly known as “The court’s Lady”. The case has been set to be considered before Al- Nozha Misdemeanor Court.
– Cairo Criminal Court has adjourned the trial of former Housing Minister Ibrahim Soliman along with others for the hearing of November 3, 2020 for reconciliation.
– The Court of Administrative Justice has ruled to dismiss M.M.A, a professor at the Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Arabic Language of Al-Azhar University, from his position while retaining the pension/ his bonus. The decision was against the backdrop of the professor organizing a sit-in at the office of the deans of the Islamic and Arab Studies colleges at Kafr Al-Sheikh for nearly four months, in addition to writing offensive comments insulting Al-Azhar University’s officials and hanging them on the doors of the university’s offices.
– Al-Sharqyia Terrorism Misdemenor Court sentenced 6 people, including a student, a professor, and workers at the Ministry of Endowments, to three years in prison on charges of joining a terrorist group and possessing publications inciting against the state and its institutions.
– The 1st circuit at the Criminal Court decided, today Tuesday, to adjourn the trial of 12 defendants in the case known in the media as “The Cabinet incidents” for the hearing of October 4, 2020.

– The 5th circuit at the Criminal Terrorism Court has considered the detention renewal session of Dr. Abdel-Moneim Abo El-Fetouh, head of “Egypt Strong” Party over Case No. 440 of 2018, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
– The 5th circuit at the Criminal Terrorism Court has considered the detention renewal session of Ibrahim Ahmed Ibrahim over Case No. 1530 of 2019, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
– The 5th circuit at the Criminal Terrorism Court has considered the detention renewal session of activist Radwa Mohamed Farid over Case No. 488 of 2019, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
– The court also adjourned considering the detention renewal of Adham Abo El-Deif pending Case No. 1898 of 2019 State Security for the hearing of 15 September, 2020.
