– The Supreme State Security Prosecution has renewed the detention of journalist Haytham Hassan for 15 days pending Case No. 586 of 2020 State Security.
– Giza Criminal Terrorism Court has sentenced one defendant to life imprisonment and 3 others to 15 years in high-security prison into Case No. 472 of 2016 in which they are charged with joining a terrorist group and spreading false news.
– Cairo Economic Misdemeanor Court has adjourned the trial of the defendants accused in the case of Menna Abdel-Aziz regarding the posts shared on social media websites for the hearing of September 14, 2020 due to the inability to transfer the defendant Mazen from his jail to the courthouse.
– Cairo Economic Appellant Misdemeanor Court has sentenced the show dancer Sama El-Masry to two years in prison and a fine of EGP 30,000 on charges of inciting immorality and debauchery and offending the Egyptian society’s principles and values.
– The 2nd circuit at the Court of Administrative Justice has ruled to suspend the implementation of the decision issued by the Lawyers Syndicate’s board on the 19th of August 2020 calling on the General Assembly of the East and West Alexandria branch of the syndicate to be convened on Monday, September 7, 2020 to discuss the issue of establishing one syndicate the combines the East and West Alexandria Primary Courts.
– The 2nd Circuit at Giza Criminal Court has sentenced defendant Ahmed Eid Mostafa to life imprisonment into his retrial procedures in the case publicly known as “Upper Egypt’s Isis organization”.
– The 2nd Circuit at Giza Criminal Court has sentenced one defendant to 15 years in high-security prison and one other defendant to 5 years in high-security prison in the case publicly known as “The Raid on Atfih police station “.
