– Yesterday, Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the trial of 11 defendants in the case known in the media as “Spying for Isis” for the hearing of September 14, 2020 to hear the testimony of witness No. 11.
– The Public Prosecutor referred Ahmed Bassam Zaki to the criminal court to stand trial on the charges attributed to him, including: sexual assaulting three girls under the age of 18 years old and threatening them, along with another girl, to divulge matters that will harm their honour, while demanding they continue having sex with him. He is also accused of sexual harassing two of the victims and of taking photos of one of the victims while kissing her, without her consent in a private location, in addition to possessing cannabis with the intention of consuming it, in addition to using telecommunication devices and social media networks in committing crimes, and of possessing cannabis with the intention of consuming it.
– The Supreme Disciplinary Court at the State Council ordered the acquittal of 3 officials at the legal department in Egyptian Arab Land Bank into Case No. 207 of the 61st Supreme Judicial Year, after it was proven that they did not commit legal or administrative violations.
– The Economic Misdemeanor Court ruled, today Tuesday, to adjourn the trial sessions of Mazen Ibrahim and Shaimaa Ahmed into the Case of Menna Abdel-Aziz, No. 1319 of 2020, for the hearing of September 2020, due to the inability to bring Shaimaa to the courthouse.
