– The State Security Prosecution decided, yesterday, to renew the detention of human rights lawyer Amr Imam for 15 days after recycling him in a new Case No. 855 of 2020 State Security following the end of his detention pending Case No. 488 of 2019 State Security.
– The Supreme State Security Prosecution has adjourned the trial of engineer Mamdouh Hamza on a charge of inciting to use force and violence to disrupt public order for the hearing of September 20, 2020 to proceed with the pleading.
– The Public Prosecution ordered the detention of Amir Zayed for 4 days pending investigations into the assault against a girl at Fairmont Nile City Hotel as he tries to flee the country like the rest of the persons accused in the case, for being accused in a similar incident.
– The Economic Court has set the trial of the two defendants Sherifa Refaat and her daughter Nora Hisham, aka “Lady Sheri and her daughter”, for adjudication at the hearing of September 30, 2020 pending the case in which they are accused of “offending the family principles and values of Egyptian society” against the backdrop of the lawsuit filed by lawyer Ashraf Farahat.
– The Economic Misdemeanor Court sentenced Sama El-Masry to two years in prison and a fine of 100,000 EGP on a charge of verbally offending media professional Reham Saied.
