– Cairo Criminal Court decided to renew the detention of the following defendants: (Thaer Ezzat Abdel-Magid- Ibrahim Mohamed Ibrahim- Ibrahim Medhat Abdallah- Khaled Seif Youssef Mosa- Hamada Mohamed Seddik- Karim Rabea Zeidan- Mahmoud Mahrous Ahmed) for 45 days pending investigations into Case No. 1739 of 2019 Supreme State Security.
– Cairo Criminal Court decided to renew the detention of the defendants accused in Case No. 1530 of 2019 State Security for 45 days pending probe.
– Cairo Criminal Court decided to adjourn the detention renewal session of TV correspondent Shady Hussein Abo Zeid who has been held in pretrial detention pending investigations into Case No. 1956 of 2019 State Security.
– Cairo Economic Court decided to adjourn the trial of former director of the State Council’s General Administration of Supplies on a charge of unlicensed currency trafficking. The trial was postponed for the hearing of September 14 for pleading the case.
– Tanta Criminal Court’s 3rd circuit sentenced, today (Wednesday), a train official, head of Tanta train No. 934 (Alexandria- Luxor), to three years in prison over the incident known as “The ticket victim” in which Mohamed Eid was killed and Ahmed Mohamed was injured after being forced to jump from the speeding train when they were caught travelling without a ticket.
– Kafr Al-Sheikh Prosecution decided, today Wednesday, to imprison a police officer, who has been dismissed from his work, for 4 days pending investigations on a charge of torturing a child with the help of his Moroccan wife, who fled the country.
– The Public Prosecutor ordered to hold two persons in pretrial detention for 4 days pending probe after being charged with: endangering the security, health, and life of a person with disabilities, publishing on social media a video clip of him that would assault the inviolability of his personal life, and harassing him using a dog that would offend and hurt him.
