Issued decisions
* Yesterday, the Court of Administrative Justice’s 1st circuit decided to adjourn the appeal No. 7720 of 72 (judiciary year) filed by human rights lawyer and the executive director of the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information (ANHRI), Gamal Eid, challenging the Interior Minister’s decision to ban him from traveling. The appeal was adjourned for the hearing of September 19 awaiting the government’s response for the documents submitted by the plaintiff’s lawyer.
* Yesterday, Giza Criminal Terrorism Court decided to adjourn the detention renewal session of Shady Abo Zeid, correspondent of “Abla Fahita” TV program, along with other defendants. The session was postponed to the hearings of 16 and 17 August, 2020 pending Case No. 1956 of 2019 State Security.
* Yesterday, Giza Criminal Terrorism Court ordered the release of Qadry Abdel-Raouf pending Case No. 1413 of 2019, which is part of Case No. 1338 of 2019 State Security that is known in the media as “September 20 incidents”.
* Cairo Criminal Court, convened at the Fifth Settlement district, decided to adjourn the trial of former housing minister Mohamed Ibrahim Soliman and businessman Samir Zaky Abdel-Qawi, in the case known in the media as “The Green Belt”, for the hearing of September 8.
* Giza Criminal Court’s 2nd circuit set the retrial procedures of 17 defendants in the case publicly known as “Al-Nahda Sit-in dispersal incidents” for adjudication at the hearing of 5 October 5.
* Cairo Criminal Terrorism Court’s 5th circuit decided to adjourn the retrial of 6 defendants in the case known in the media as “Maspero incidents II”, which took place on 5 July 2013, for the hearing of August 17. The case was postponed for the defense’s pleading.
* The Court of Administrative Justice at the State Council decided, today Sunday, to set the appeal challenging the decision to form the Bar Association’s council members for adjudication at the hearing of 20 September. The appeal, which was registered under No. 43914 of 74 (judiciary year), demanded to reverse the decision of forming the Bar Association’s council which consists of 4 members for the position of Secretary General and 4 others for the position of the Secretary General Assistant.
* The Supreme State Security Prosecution has finished considering the detention renewal session of human rights lawyer Mohsen Bahnasi in his absence. The prosecution decided to hold the defendant in detention for 15 days pending Case No. 558 of 2020 State Security.

* The Supreme State Security Prosecution is proceeding with the investigation with human rights activist Sanaa Seif pending Case No. 659 of 2020 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
