Issued decisions 

– Yesterday evening, the Court of Cassation turned down the appeal submitted by a defendant accused in the case known in the media as “Al-Itahadyia Presidential Palace incidents” challenging the 20-year high-security prison sentence issued against him.

– The Court of Administrative Justice set, yesterday evening, the lawsuit filed by lawyer Samir Sabry, demanding to dismiss all employees belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood group from their posts and positions in the state’s administrative apparatus, for adjudication at the hearing of 15 August 2020.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned, yesterday evening, the retrial procedures of 6 defendants in the case publicly known as “Maspero incidents II” for the hearing of 9 August 2020.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned, yesterday evening, the retrial procedures of one defendant in the case publicly known as “Advanced Operations Cell” for the hearing of 12 August 2020.

– Port Said Criminal Court adjourned, yesterday evening, the retrial procedures of 46 defendants in the case publicly known as “Al-Arab Police Station incidents” for the hearing of 12 September 2020.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the trial of 2 defendants accused in the case known in the media as “Al-Mataryia violence incidents” for 12 September 2020.

Decisions not issued until 3.30 pm 

– The Court of Administrative Justice has considered the appeal submitted by Khaled al-Balshi and other journalists challenging the decision not to hold a general assembly at the Journalists Syndicate to discuss the Law regulating the Press and Media. The court hasn’t yet reached a decision.

– Cairo Criminal Court is considering the retrial procedures of 8 defendants in the case known in the media as “the cabinet incidents”, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.

– The Military Court is considering the trial of 271 defendants in the case known in the media as “Hasm movement II”, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.

– Cairo Criminal Court has considered the detention renewal session of Mohab El-Ebrashi pending the case No. 1898 of 2019 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision far.

– Cairo Criminal Court has considered the detention renewal of lawyer Amr Nawahan pending the case No. 741 of 2019 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.

– Cairo Criminal Court has considered the detention renewal of lawyer Mohamed Hamdoun pending the case No. 1530 of 2019 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
