Issued decisions
- – The Court of Cassation has accepted the appeal submitted by Mohamed Nasser, Belal Fathi and others in the case known in the media as “The Oppressed of the Downtown”. The court accordingly rescinded the prison sentence issued against them and set the hearing of 7 December 2020 to consider the case.
- – The State Security Prosecution ruled that journalist Haytham Hassan be brought to appear before the prosecutor tomorrow morning pending the case No. 586 of 2020 State Security.
- – The detention renewal of lawyer Mohsen Bahnasi has been considered on paper due to the inability to transfer him from his jail to the courthouse pending the Case No. 558 of 2020 State Security.
- – South Cairo Criminal Court decided, yesterday, to rescind the Public Prosecutor’s decision to seize the funds of Dr. Hassan Nafaa, with its ensuing consequences, until the court decides on the extent of the constitutionality of Article 47 of the Anti-Terrorism Law 94 of 2015.

- – Cairo Criminal Court’s 1st circuit is proceeding with the trial of engineer Mamdouh Hamza in absentia over the charge of inciting to commit a terrorism-related crime, using force and violence, and disrupting the public order in relation to some comments he posted on his “Twitter” account, in the case No. 48 of 2020 State Security.
