Issued decisions 

– Alexandria Criminal Court has turned down the appeal filed by human rights lawyer Mohamed Ramadan challenging his pretrial detention pending the case known in the media as “Yellow vests”.

– Dokki Prosecution has adjourned the investigation with journalist Mohamed al-Garhi in the libel and defamation case filed against him by MP Ghada Ajmy for the January 12 hearing.

– Giza Criminal Court has sentenced one defendant to 15 years in high-security prison and a fine of EGP 340,000 in his retrial procedures in the case known in the media as “raiding Atfih Police Station”.

Decisions not issued until 5 pm

– The State Security Prosecution is considering the detention renewal of human rights lawyer Amr Imam, labor activist Kamal Khalil, and the deputy head of the Popular Alliance Party Abdel Nasser Ismail pending case No. 488 of 2019 State Security, but hasn’t reached a decision so far.
