– Cairo Criminal Court decided, yesterday evening, to renew the detention of Aisha Al-Shater and lawyer Hoda Abdel-Moneim for 45 days pending case No. 1352 of 2018 State Security.

– Journalist Asmaa Zeidan has been released from Al-Haram Police Station pursuant to a presidential pardon, after spending a year and a half in detention.

– Cairo Criminal Court sentenced 6 defendants to death, 41 defendants to life imprisonment, 7 others to 15 years in high-security prison, and one minor to three years in prison, while it ordered the acquittal of 14 others in the case known in the media as “Popular Resistance Committee”.

– Cairo Criminal Court accepted the appeal submitted by the State Security Prosecution against the release order on probation issued for 4 children and, accordingly, renewed their detention for 45 days pending case No. 488 of 2019 State Security.

– The State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of accountant Hassan Al-Barbari for 15 days pending case No. 930 of 2019 State Security.

– The Military Court adjourned the trial of 304 defendants in the case known in the media as “Assassination attempt of the Assistant Public Prosecution” for the August 28 hearing.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the retrial of 15 defendants in the case known in the media as “US Embassy incidents II” for the September 18 hearing.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the trial of 16 defendants in the case known in the media as “Jabhat al-Nusra” or “Al-Nusra Front” for the September 16 hearing.
